Implementation of the Plan
13. On the Effective Date, the Settlement Trust was established in accordance with the Plan and the Settlement Trust Agreement. The Settlement Trust assumed liability for all Abuse Claims and sole responsibility for administering Abuse Claims in accordance with the Settlement Trust Documents. The Settlement Trust has been funded with approximately $2.46 billion in cash and other assets, as well as at least $4.2 billion in insurance rights assigned to the Settlement Trust by BSA, Local Councils, and Chartered Organizations.
