As your staff is aware, many of us victims have had to represent ourselves in this tragedy, essentially forced to do such a thing because of the ineptitude presented by brand new attorneys who represented over 19,000 victims. We have informed the trust that there has been rampant fraud, misrepresentation, ineffective assistance of counsel and flat out criminal behavior by members of the coalition of abused scouts. Yet your staff has paid these attorneys anyway.
Question: What amount of an initial payout does a victim of childhood sexual assault get?
Answer: 1.5% of what they are owed.
This trial has cemented the fact that the “Justice” system is broken, backwards and flawed beyond all trust in the mechanism of a fair trial.
NOT only do we lose our innocence to the Scouts, we lost our future to them as well.
The original files of CSA were hidden during the Bankruptcy by the CFO in a warehouse close to their current headquarters in the CFO’s name. I have informed Texas DPS, and the FBI of this fact, yet nothing is being done.
This trust can show that the Monell violations by over 100 insurance companies has in fact created this epidemic of Childhood Sexual Assault not just in Scouts but by every major religion, school board and military base on the planet. If the US has members somewhere, you can bet there is a child in danger because of bad insurance company policies.
This is a federal crime, and the sooner this trust treats these criminals like criminals instead of bosses the sooner our children will be safer.
Can this trust guarantee me at least the 40% that I saved by representing myself? IT is only $680,000, which is less than half of what I am owed. Attorneys who never got ass raped got paid way more, so why not the victims who actually had their life ruined and continued to be ruined by the stalling of payout by the very criminals that created the space to be predators.
The FBI knew about Scout Leaders’ threats in 1993 when Lanning wrote his white paper. Why did the reports of incidents go down, but not the actual incident reports? We have the facts, so why is this trust still protecting the criminals and paying their attorneys? Please respond to my question of “can pro se litigants in this case be paid the attorneys fees we saved by representing ourselves?”
