$1,000,000 questions | Pro Se Questions to the Boy Scout Bankruptcy Reorganization Trust Trustee

Hon. Barbara J. Houser (Ret.)
Trustee,

I am a claim holder #__________, and have tried to seek proper representation during the reorganization plan over the last 3 years, with my case being brokered along the way, all in response to a facebook advertisement.

Also, I had asked my former attorney for clarification on the verification steps for any claim holder, and qualifying claim holder treatment during the Bankruptcy hearing, as well as mandatory reporting of offenders when claims are verified. None of those questions were met with a response.

One of the difficult parts of this trial and reading through the thousands of motions, as well as personal letters from victims (often times from jail), is the amount that the attorneys representing the large amounts of clients, whom are asking for pay for billable hours, with very little to zero communication with the actual client.

  1. How many millions of dollars are going towards attorneys that “represented” victims?
    1. 40% of each payout is going towards attorneys in the Tort Claimants Committee as well?
  2. How many millions of dollars are going towards attorneys that “represented” Boy Scouts of America and it’s various entities?
  3. How many millions of dollars are going towards attorneys that “represented” the insurance companies that represent the claims that we are to be releasing of libel?
  4. Where are those funds coming from to pay each of these attorneys?
I was trying to pay attention to trial on the 19th of April, and it sounded like the funds for each of those sections of attorneys is going to come from this trust fund started for the victims.
    2.4 Billion.
  5. Where are the trust funds located?
    Which bank or institution?
  6. Is this bank or institution owned by any of the insurance companies that were involved with this litigation?
  7. What is the time frame for releasing the insurance claims, before or after our claim is validated?
  8. Then what is the pay out time frame for my specific type of claim?
  9. How is my tier decided?

Thank you for answering my questions.
